Heating & Drying
Long lasting competence and experience in Drying, Annealing or Gelling of coated web type materials are necessary in order to offer or integrate advanced and reliable technology.
The use of Circulating Air Dryers, Cross-Linking UV Dryers, Infrared Dryers or combined systems e.g. of Circulating Air and Infrared (KKA – HiDry) is depending on customer-specific requirements.
Recirculating Air Dryer
KKA – Recirculating air dryers are based on a fresh air circulation which is generated and supplied by means of blower . The required drying temperature of the circulating air is being reached by electro or thermal oil heating systems. Integrated sensors adjust a steady temperature level in a closed control loop.
KKA-HiDry
HiDry (High-performance Dryer) – the new generation of effective dryers for coated materials. Short-wave radiation in combination with convective hot air systems guarantee a maximum drying capacity even for temperature- and tension sensitive materials.
Heating
An essential component in KKA production lines is a high-precision temperature management of the webs. For this purpose, a multitude of assemblies are used, such as double-shell rollers, IR radiators, strip cooling systems, water baths etc. Corresponding TCU‘s are also designed and supplied for this purpose.
