KKA production lines for the decorative foil industry are worldwide known as being used by renowned film manufacturers for e.g. furniture, ceiling panels, door surfaces or window profiles. The product range covers machines and plants for the process steps of film production, decoration design or the production of a product compound. The mainly used PVC, PET, PP calender or extrusion films are processed as well as various paper variations. Usually, process steps are combined on the KKA production lines to build up the following characteristics:

  • Thermoformable (3D)
  • Dimensionally stable
  • UV – resistant
  • Color stable, lightfast
  • None / low embrittlement
  • Scratch-resistant
  • Migration resistant

KKA printing and lacquering solutions focus on the use of conventional gravure printing and coating application processes, as separate or combined solutions. By the use of specially developed register controls, the designs of the different color printing stations are combined to a high-quality, precisely fitting print image.

Thin protective layers are applied after the printing process to protect the surface and create various product properties. Gentle contactless drying of the individual printing inks takes place in highly efficient dryers. The configurations of the system technology allow the use of solvent-based or water-based inks or coatings.

The product portfolio is supplemented by the use of various adhesive coating systems. With the minimal use of adhesives, the possibilities for further processing from thermal to adhesive lamination are expanded. Besides the combination of this technology in the in-line process, KKA also offers separate off-line solutions.

Here, the production can flexibly produce adhesive-coated decor papers or films according to the required batch sizes. These systems are supplemented by a slitter rewinder to produce finished converted rolls, which are characterized by excellent roll quality in terms of winding hardness, face build-up and lane gapping.
